Monday November 4th from 1730 to 1930 we will have a membership meeting to vote on the slate for induction in December. After the membership meeting we will have a dinner and then a 1 hour Scholarly program presented by Patricia Joyce, RN, BSN, MsEd and Michelle Barnave, RN, BSN entitled “Black Nurses Making a Difference in the Community”. We need 6-8 volunteers to bring a large crock pot with chili or soup and 6-8 volunteers for desserts to enter into a competition (cooking supplies will be the prize, one for the chili/soup, one for the desserts). Email Libby if you want to bring chili/soup/dessert! The dinner will cost $5.00 for soup/chili/ drink and dessert and the proceeds will go to the Topeka “Living the Dream” Foundation to support a scholarship for a young person planning on a career in healthcare. 1-CEU will be awarded through the SVHC Continuing education.
